Group C Era Sportscars Postcards

Group C Era Sportscars Postcards

Launched in 1982 the Group C rules were extremely successful in drawing some of the major car manufacturers back into sportscar racing and even managed to attract a good number of Grand Prix drivers to try their hand in a Sportscar. The Porsche 956/962 played a large part in the success of Group C as it was an affordable customer car which allowed privateer teams to enter the championship and stand a chance of winning against the works teams. The limit on fuel wasn't popular with everyone but the rules did produce diverse grids and some close racing making it arguably one of the greatest eras in the history of Sportscar racing which is celebrated in this range of limited run postcards produced exclusively for Autoavia from previously unpublished photos.
