Herpa

 Herpa are probably best known for their range of high quality plastic models mainly produced in 1/87 scale to compliment HO gauge railway.

In the 1980's they produced a range of 1/43 scale Ferrari models in plastic with opening doors and bonnets. the quality was superb with probably the best panel fit ever seen on the opening panels but they were snubbed by many collectors as they weren't diecast metal.

The company continues to produce 1/87 scale plastic models which are widely collected in Europe and also produces some 1/43 scale diecasts including the occasional promotional model for the German motor industry.
