Italeri

 Italeri are the best known of the Italian plastic kit manufacturers an have produced many kits of subjects that haven't been covered in other ranges. Italeri had tended to specialise in aircraft and military vehicles / figure but in 2000 they took over many of the moulds from Esci, another Italian company which had been taken over by Ertl in the early 1990's. Esci specialised in 1/24 scale car models and military models so the Esci moulds enabled Italeri to expand their range.

Italeri also acquired the rights to the Protar range in 2005 following the death of Protar founder Tarquino Provini and they have rereleased many of the Protar 1/9 motorcycle kits as well as marketing a range of 1/24 scale diecast racing bikes under the Protar banner.
