Norev

Launched in 1946 by the Veron brothers the first Norev product was a printed sheet garage with a few cars. The brothers achieved more sales success by making toy watches for children but in 1953 they released 1/43 and 1/87 scale models of a Simca Aronde the first of a range of plastic models that won many industry awards. In 1971 the launched the Norev - Jet range of diecast models but by the early 80's Norev was very much in the doldrums.

In 1986 Marc Fischer took over as head of Norev and started a programme to update the old moulds to modern standards and launch new high quality models. In 1994 the Norev 1/43 scale Bugatti EB112 was awarded the gold medal at the Nuremberg Toy Fair. In 1997 Axel Fischer took over from his father and he has continued to expand the brand's ranges including the Japanese car ranges and 1/18 scale ranges which were launched in 2005. The company has grown to be a major diecast manufacturer producing high quality models for collectors and as promotional models for the motor industry.
