1/43 Scale approx 4.25 ins / 11cms long PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY SO THAT YOU ARE AWARE OF THE CONDITION OF THE MODEL 1/43 scale factory built model by SMTS of the works Bentley Speed 6 driven by Woolf Barnato and Glen Kidston to win the 1930 Le Mans 24 Hour Race. The model is brand new unsold stock originally bought almost 25 years ago but it has some comparatively minor problems caused in storage. The paint finish is fine with no problems. The centre nut for the spare wheel and the handbrake lever had both come unglued but have carefully been stuck back. The wheels are packed seperately exactly as originally supplied BUT two of the wheels are missing the knock off wheel nuts and some of the photoetched spoke frets are slightly loose but there doesn't seem to be a problem once they have been pushed onto the axles and they still support the weight of the model. The box is battered from storage and ripped on one corner. This is a rare model which was never made in large numbers and has been discontinued for many years. It is a desirable collectors item and the price reflects the minor damage that this one has suffered over the years. |
