Large scale hand carved and hand finished mahogany desktop model of a Boeing CH-47C Chinook helicopter of the US Army.

The Chinook first went into service with the US Army in 1962 and upgraded versions with more powerful engines, composite rotor blades and a digital cockpit are still being produced today, almost 40 years later. The model depicts a US Army machine but the Chinook serves with air arms all over the world including the Royal Air Force who currently use them extensively in Afghanistan and Iraq.
