Corgi Man From Uncle Thrushbuster Oldsmobile

 Corgi 497 Man From Uncle "Thrushbuster Oldsmobile in Blue produced from 1967 to 1969 complete with the original Waverly Ring.  
Overall condition is good but it is not mint. I know it is completely original as I have owned it from new, bought by me almost 45 years ago.

 The car has some chips on the sides mainly on the raised trim lines. The paint on the bonnet, boot and roof are almost unmarked except for a small part of the raised line around the UNCLE bonnet badge where the paint has rubbed off, all of which is clearly visible in the pictures. All the screens are undamaged (except for the bullet holes that Corgi made in the windscreen). The UNCLE badge and the spotlights on the bonnet are excellent as is the periscope and the mechanism to make the figures lean out to fire their guns works as well as it did when brand new.
The Waverley ring (the original - not a modern copy) has a small red mark on the face which has probably been there from new and the chrome is worn on the shoulders of the ring (which seems quite common) probably where it has rubbed in the box.

The outer box is creased in places and one end flap is detached but is included. The colours are reasonably bright and it is a bit dirty with some marks but would display OK. The inner stand is complete. The front has a crease and floor is slightly bowed. The back has been folded along the lower edge so it doesn't stand up unless it is supported. The cardboard support inside the base of the stand is present but there are no other packing pieces.

Overall a very good item for a collector who wants a displayable model with an original box but can't afford a mint one.
