Superb quality 1/43 scale diecast by GMP (Georgia Model Products) of the McLaren M8B driven by Denny Hulme to finish second in the 1969 Can Am Sports Car championship. The model features a lift off rear body and full engine detail.
Having won the 1967 and 1968 Can Am championships the McLaren team developed the McLaren M8B with a high mounted rear wing for the 1969 season. They continued to dominate the series with Bruce McLaren and Denny Hulme finishing first and second in the championship having finished 1st and 2nd in eight of the races and the team cars finishing 1st, 2nd and 3rd, with Dan Gurney in the third car at Michigan.
This is a limited edition which is long discontinued and is new old stock including the correct GMP branded plastic sleeve to protect the box. |
