Diecast model produced for European magazine publisher Del Prado of the 1970 Toyota Group 7 sportscar. 
Built by Yamaha for Toyota to Group 7 Can Am rules the Toyota 7 debuted at the 1968 Japanese Grand Prix (a sportscar race) and enjoyed moderate success during the 1968 and 1969 seasons.
For 1970 the car was rebuilt with a 5 Litre Turbocharged V8 engine possibly to compete in the Can Am series as well as domestic events but from 1970 onwards the Japanese Grand Prix became a single seaters only race so development of the car was abandoned and it lay derelict in the factory until it was restored by the Toyota Museum who ran it at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2003.
The model is well finished and is great value for money. Supplied sealed on a card.
